I try to keep customers up to date on this site's progress. The last month or so I've been letting some titles sell down because I knew I would soon be moving the inventory to a new facility. No point moving and inventorying more than necessary. After the move I will begin restocking and the selection here will be larger than it has ever been.

The info on the package—all that most places provide—is often useless. I try to add useful data—year, director, corrected cast, original titles of American releases of foreign movies, and sometimes opinions or historical notes. There are sure to be inaccuracies here passed along from other sources but when I know the manufacturer's info is wrong I fix it, like: "the box lists Olinka as the star but she's not even in the movie!" And where else can you browse by year?

Folks who do the math are my kind of customers. The single disc prices are competitive and using the volume & coupon pricing the pricing is WAY cheaper than other full-service stores.

I can't stand stores where YOU have to jump through hoops because THEY made a mistake. Service issues here are solved with the minimum inconvenience for the customer. Everything listed online is in stock; no unwanted back-ordering.

This is a small business. When you email here you're dealing with someone in charge. I write everything on the site so the commentary means something—agree or disagree, at least there's an identifiable point of view beyond "buy this." It makes no financial difference to me whether you buy one DVD versus another so I have no reason to "sell" you. I want you to be satisfied so you'll come back and buy more stuff.

I try to carry the best available versions of the most interesting movies, not just everything anyone puts out. When the same material is available from different studios I try to carry the one that offers the best value. Not everything here is good, of course, but if something comes in that's just too lame I won't restock it.
