Two delirious fake sex documentaries. Pure exploitation at its finest. Mondo Freudo wins the funniest trailer of all time title in a walk:"You are about to enter the world of Sigmund Freud… the world of SEX!"

"Armed with hidden cameras, infra-red film, and plenty of naked women, the guys who made House on Bare Mountain go sociologically insane with Mondo Bizarro and Mondo Freudo, two hilariously sex-crazed shockumentaries from the Swinging Sixties that run the gamut from the real to the unreal to the downright surreal! Witness the orgiastic excesses of a voodoo ritual "held every Thursday night" in the Bahamas, and a Puerto Rican black mass performed "just 17 blocks off Times Square!" Gawk at beautiful Asian strippers clawed at a Japanese nightclub "dedicated to sadism!" Marvel at the wild underworld of underwear with Frederick's of Hollywood's naughty mail-order lingerie! And don't miss the lesbian prostitutes in London, male hustlers in L.A., topless bars in Tijuana, and an "Arab slave auction" held in front of Robot Monster's Bronson Canyon cave!

Special Features: Audio Commentary by the Mondo Mod Men, Johnny "Mr. Mondo" Legend and Hollywood Book & Poster Co.'s Eric Caidin; Mondo Trailers for Both Features, "Ecco," "It's a Sick Sick Sick World," "Malamondo," "Mondo Balordo," "Mondo Oscenita," "Mondo Teeno," and "Sadismo;" Pint-sized Little Jack Little gets tough with his Naked but Noisy Neighbors in the "Mondo Bizarro" 24-minute Mail-Order Featurette, "Dungeon Party;" Gallery of Mondo Movie Exploitation Art with Audio Oddities!

1970 • color • Directed by R. Lee Frost (as "Elov Peterssons") with Brigit Kroyer, Halger Strobye, Nicke Bjurstrom, Ake Nordenskiold.

"After the publicity garnered by the U.S. release of the Swedish import I Am Curious (Yellow), every indie distributor in Hollywood was scrambling to strike box-office gold with the next big Euro flesh fest. And with Easy Rider pulling in big bucks from the youth market, it only seemed right that a Danish sex movie about bikers would have enormous appeal, especially with the ad campaign for Ride Hard, Ride Wild offering everything a shaggy-haired deviant moviegoer in 1970 could hope for. Too bad it was all a sham. Though it was advertised with "New from Denmark!" plastered on its ads, the claim is suspect right from the beginning when exploitation auteur R. LEE FROST credited with "Dubbing Supervision." To anyone familiar with Frost's '60s oeuvre, in particular the mondo documentaries he fabricated with producer Bob Cresse (Mondo Freudo, Mondo Bizarro), his involvement is reason enough to suspect a con. Curiosity got the best of me and I gave Mr. Frost a call. Our conversation went like this:

Poggiali: Something Weird Video just sent me a movie to review called Ride Hard, Ride Wild that credits you with "Dubbing Supervision."
Frost: l won't admit anything about that picture, other than it was made for Phoenix International. Nothing. I have nothing to say about that one.
Poggiali: It looks like an American movie, but the ads claim that it's Danish.
Frost: Look, what more can I tell you? Do you want special information? Do you want me to bleed here for you? Just leave it at that.
Sorry, R.L., I can't. Ride Hard, Ride Wild is undoubtedly one of four no-budget features Frost and partner ARMAND ATAMIAN pieced together from leftover film scraps. "We made a bunch of stupid little nothing movies," Frost told Shod Cinema magazine, without identifying any of the movies except Zero In and Scream. "I was making pictures for AIP at the time, but when I had a weekend off I'd say, 'let's make a movie.' I'd shoot these films in two days."

According to the credits, the story was based on a novel called Korsor 500. (Apparently, in the first chapter, cows fly and Hell freezes over.) Motor cross racer Karl Borsch is boiling over with anger thanks to a fiery accident one year earlier, and harbors a hatred for mild-mannered racer Lief Vedenin, who travels from race to race with his girlfriend Annelise in a VW minibus. Lief and Annelise just want a few more first-place paydays so they can settle down and get married, but Karl - a sadistic sex maniac - has something else in mind for the mobile lovebirds.…
