1981 was the year director Chuck Vincent's great experiment peaked. The man wanted to make legit mainstream porn films that functioned as real movies. It was a doomed effort, but a noble one. ROOMATES and GAMES WOMEN PLAY were made about the same time with roughly the same cast. ROOMATES won all the awards but the two movies are quite similar. If Vincent had the sense to assemble a better technical team his experiment might have fared a little better. Vincent's movies never look quite as professional as they should given their lofty ambitions. (Making something on par with a made-for-TV movie may not sound like a lofty ambition, but for the porn industry that was like shooting at the moon.)Ante up, come on down and play the Games Women Play with five luscious models who live in the free-spirited fast lane of New York's advertising industry. Here everything's a gamble, the stakes are high and the games are hot as these women enter into erotic contests with their boyfriends, husbands and each other. It's a raunchy roulette of lust and passion, where Lady Luck makes sure no one loses. Watching the women play will make your mouth water. The rules are hard, fast and these gals know how to break them. It's like a horny stud poker game where nothing is according to Hoyle, so place your bets, you don't want to miss your piece on the checker board. The terrific cast includes Leslie Bovee, Samantha Fox, Veronica Hart (as Randee Styles), Ron Jeremy, Merle Michaels, Kelly Nichols and the incomparable Chris Cassidy (as Montana Station) |
