Erwin Dietrich

 Dietrich was one of Europe's most prolific producers. Specializing in sexploitation style erotica, he released up to ten films a year throughout the 1970s. The content of Dietrich's movies was forward-leaning, frequently operating in a zone more explicit that contemporary cable softcore but short of contemporary XXX. That sort of "Soft X" movie was only common in  America for about two years (1970-1971) but was a popular genre in Europe for decades. Dietrich directed about forty movies and produced about forty more employing notable European exploitation directors such as Jesus Franco and Antonio Margheriti.

Christa (cult star Christa Free) is a nude model who comes to Denmark looking for a new life. She falls in love with her photographer, but her wild past still haunts here. The wild orgies and drug-filled parties cannot escape her mind. She tries in earnest to live a monogamous life with her new love, but nymphomaniac ways are pulling her back. Fresh and lively with some memorable scenes.

Over-the-top violent exploitation classic directed by Paul Grau and produced by Erwin Dietrich. Yuppie Hal Martin (Robert O'Neil) kisses Babsy whiles driving a fancy Stingray. As a band of bikers roll up their leader taunts Hal and spits on him. Hal forces one of the bikers into a fatal accident. While Hal and Babsy are at a club the bikers are waiting outside and beat him up and Stiletto (Eric Falk) brutally rapes Babsy. Out for revenge Hal hires a friend who runs a kickboxing school. At the bikers funeral for their fallen buddy, the kick boxers show up and beat up the bikers and castrate their leader. In retaliation the bikers turn up at the kickboxing school with machine guns. Two nude lovers on a beach get dressed and start hitchhiking when Hal drives by. Hal picks up Lily (who ditches her boyfriend) and they drive to this parents' estate. As Hal and Lily make love in the forest, the bikers show up and kill the family and servants. Hal, armed with guns and grenades, finishes off the bikers, but the surviving castrated leader holds Hal and Lily at bay with a bomb.

Erwin Dietrich continues his Six Swedes series - probably the most entertaining Soft-X franchise. The basic set-up is that six bubble-headed Swedish girls get involved in something requiring constant sex and nudity. In this case, going to the Alps. The simple-minded exuberance of the "schwedinnen" might seem depraved in a contemporary film, but is the height of innocence here at the tail end of the free-love era. Stars Marianne Aubert, Brigitte Hawas, Michaela Kloess and others.
