Deep Throat Part 2 (1974) has a weird back-story. Joe Sarno, one of the very best erotica directors of all time, did a few XXX projects in the 1970s. He was hired to make the DEEP THROAT sequel and it was shot as a regular XXX film. Then, as with FLESH GORDON, everyone realized they could make more money cutting it down to an R-rating and releasing it nationally. So DEEP THROAT II was released as a softcore film. All the XXX footage was subsequently stolen, so all that exists of the film is the release print, presented here in excellent quality. The overall production is just what one would expect from Sarno. It's handsome. Linda Lovelace and Harry Reems reprise their roles from the original, joined by sex-film stalwarts like Andrea True, Jamie Gillis, Marc Stevens and Tina Russell. If the IMDB is to be believed popular 1990s comic Judy Tenuta (the self-proclaimed "goddess" with the accordion) plays, at eighteen, one of the office girls.

Also, Linda Lovelace for President (1975) (released in England as "Hot Neon") a trying-too-hard camp cash-in on her notoriety directed by TV hack Claudio Guzman (Far-Out Space Nuts, Partridge Family, etc..) with a freak-show cast including Linda Lovelace playing herself, Fuddle Bagley (what a name!), Micky Dolenz (of The Monkees), Scatman Crothers, Robbie Lee and poor Vaughn Meader (who had the best-selling comedy album of all time until Steve Martin came along.) The movie is full of utterly hollow political symbolism and insincere counter-culture references. This is a must-have for aficionados of appalling psychotronica. Since this contains two full length R-rated sexploitation features I am cross-filing it in American Sexploitation. But because an XXX movie manufacturer produces the disc the bonus material is hard-core, including some terrible grainy old Linda Lovelace loops and miscellaneous XXX trailers. So you are forewarned. I am delighted to note that this company did not spoil the package by including any Lovelace loop material that would cause me to not carry the package at all. (She did some notoriously nasty loop work, but it's not presented here.

"Annie Sprinkle plays an offbeat artist, Crystal Synk, (billed here as Christa Anderson) has a field day as a hedonist with a southern drawl and the scene with the salami is one you will never forget." (Sarno had a salami thing. one of his Swedish films has the same gimmick.)

Sonny Landham does his Elvis impression, and all of them become victims of Crystal's strange sexual orchestration control. Ultimately CJ & Hope resolve their problems with an assist from Annie. THis is one of those rare films that keeps piling people on people, scene after scene, and yet never loses the erotic edge. Plus bonus classic trailers & slideshow."

A four-segment film whose one uniting theme is women who sexually overpower men, Tigresses appropriately stars Ms. Vanessa Del Rio and the legendary Samantha Fox. The Puerto Rican love goddess Vanessa plays a woman who manipulates men by pretending she can only speak Spanish. This may seem a bit of a stretch until one realizes the amount of body language required to communicate without a common tongue, and until one ponders the amazing things Vanessa can do with her body. Later Samantha Fox beats a couple of guys in a swimming race, then at hand ball, and then takes them to bed and orders them around there.

Utilizes a stock Sarno storyline: a closed sexual circle is infiltrated by a free spirit who stirs things up and seduces all the man and all the women in sight. In this case, an 19 year old girl comes to stay with her cousin and her boyfriend, and another couple, in a run down shared house in a working class neighborhood. While she disrupts those around her, she and her cousin move towards remembering some traumatic truths about their shared history. Some lovely lesbian seduction scenes (another Sarno hallmark)

Billed as an expose of Seka's real sex life, this all-ahead-full sexual thriller would stretch the bounds of credulity if about anyone but Seka, the fiery platinum-blonde sex goddess. Co-starring her real-life boyfriend Ken as well as a laundry list of other blue-movie males, this is a non-stop joy ride through Seka's formidable libido, and features some of the most wicked footage of her ever filmed. Most notably in her scenes with Ken, Seka seems completely at ease and truly into what she's doing. One actually imagines she's forgotten the presence of the camera and is having sex for sex's sake rather than to move the film along, a rarity for many porn divas. A must-have for Seka fans.

They call the phone company and report a faulty line, then they ring the butcher and ask for some meat to be sent up. When the delivery boy shows up, they see that his meat should be pure filet mignon. They give him a tip that he won't forget. The phone man is next on their list with a connection that is loud and clear! When Sonya and Jeff return, they are greeted by the sounds of lust. Merry is giving the phone man a second helping of her love box. Sonya is shocked and gets herself a drink. Bernice sees the chance and makes her play for Jeff, whisking him off to the bedroom for a quickie. Sonya is completely shattered as Bernice and Merry take their leave of the apartment, with Jeff in tow! Sonya finds herself alone in the apartment with the phone man. She takes the phone man to bed and discovers that he delivers very good service indeed!

A high-water mark of the effort to make XXX movies comparable to the lesser mainstream B-movies. The sets and costumes of the many pulp fiction fantasy sequences are impressive - quality you'd associate with a eurotrash knock-off of a Hollywood hit, which is low by Hollywood standards but phenomenal for an American XXX film. RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK inspired stuff, medieval stuff... Everything from a prehistoric cave woman to luscious blonde nazi submarine commander.

Attractive cast and great visuals, though the overall narrative seems disjointed. "Pulp magazine writer, voluptuous Jennifer Nash, transports her latest characters to wild orgasmic adventures. Beautiful Rhode Island Red and her male companion Louisiana Smith and Oklahoma Crude experience pleasures on this earth and beyond."

Tina Harvey is a successful television news reporter.
