 Alpha France Classics are the best bunch of XXX films ever made, and the DVD mastering quality is excellent.
 It's nothing short of incredible how high the production standards were in France. The typical Alpha France XXX film from the classic era (1972-1984) makes the typical American XXX film of the period look home-made.
 The girls are beautiful and sophisticated. The eroticism is just as raunchy, while being more varied, perverse, intimate and natural, as is usually the case with European Golden Age adult films. And Alpha France had a near monopoly on the talents of Brigitte Lahaie, the most fantastic international sex star of them all.

The Bad News
 
These are French PAL format discs. American TVs are NTSC format, so these do not play properly outside Europe unless your DVD player is a PAL>NTSC converting player. (Most multi-region players also convert PAL to NTSC, but not all, so before ordering, make sure that you can play a PAL format disc.)
Also, these are expensive because the US dollar is very weak these days, which makes any import goods more costly. But since these are mostly double and triple features, even with the dollar so weak these are comparable—film for film—with American XXX DVDs of lower quality.
The Good News
 
Multi Region converting DVD players are quite inexpensive these days. I don't sell or endorse electronic equipment, but if you go to Google and search for "multi region DVD player" you get a zillion options to chose from, and you can easily buy a multi-region PAL>NTSC converting player for under $100. And once you have a multi-region PAL converting player you can play any DVD manufactured anywhere in the world.
