 She decided acting was for her at 13 and caught Robert Altman's attention, though the contemplated project did not materialize. Her breakthrough role was as MANON OF THE SPRING (1986).
 A plausible choice as "most beautiful woman alive," at least until she went collagen crazy recently and got what the catty European press delights in referring to as "duck lips." (Fortunately collagen is not permanent... the body absorbs it.) I was asking myself why the most beautiful woman in the world would get work done and realized for the first time that Ms. Beart is over forty! How do the French do it?
